Your first appointment
Before the inlays and onlays are made your dentist will ensure the decaying tooth is cleaned out thoroughly using a drill. Impressions will then be taken using dental moulding putty. These impressions will be sent off for the moulds to be made and a second appointment will be necessary to fit the inlays and onlays.
What scans might I get?
Before your treatment is decided you will receive an x-ray to determine the extent of the damage. You will also receive a full clinical exam.
